Doctors’ Day 2011 is the 78th year the health-related holiday has been observed. On March 30, 1933, the Barrow County Alliance in Winder, Georgia decided to start the tradition. Eudora Brown Almond, the wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond, came up with the concept. The first Doctors’ Day was held on the same day as the first administering of anesthesia, according to the Southern Medical Association.





Two decades later, the U.S. House of Representatives adopted a resolution officially recognizing Doctors’ Day. In the fall of 1990, Congress passed legislation making March 30 a nationally recognized occasion.

Doctors’ Day currently upon Jul 1, 2011. In India, National Doctors’ Day is annually distinguished upon Jul 1, to honor a critical healing celebrity Dr. B. C. Roy (Bidhan Chandra Roy). He was innate as well as died upon Jul 1 of 1882 as well as 1962 respectively.
